Pump controllers have come a long way since the original analogue controllers, and with so much choice now available, it can be difficult to decide which one is going to be the best fit for your window cleaning system.

There are several factors which need to be taken into consideration when making your decision. You need to think about your budget, whether you prefer to work with ‘old school’ analogue or digital equipment, the ease of use, and the max amp rating of your pump.

At DA Components we have several controllers available for you to choose from, and all of them come with a two-year warranty.

In our introductory range we have the ABC 1 and ABC 2 controllers.

The main difference between the two is in the number of features they include. The ABC 1 is a very basic ‘switch on, set flow and go’ controller, whereas the ABC 2 has manual calibration, a battery voltage indicator and low battery cut off.

The next model up from the ABC range is the DA V16 controller. This controller is slightly different to all other V16’s on the market, as it combines analogue and digital features.

The DA V16 has all the latest controller technology, while retaining the best design features of the original DA controllers, such as no calibration required and no dead-end detection. We have kept the analogue-style dial on the side of the controller to set the flow, as well as the enclosure features fixing lugs, making it easier to install.

Most pumps used for window cleaning tend to have an amp rating of up to 10 amps but some larger pumps, for example, those used for soft washing, will have a higher amp rating.  This is where our High Current controller comes in. This controller also has a built-in battery voltmeter and a safety device which disables the pump if the voltage falls below 10.5 volts to protect the battery.
