Operational Guidelines

When installing a new RO membrane, it is important to thoroughly flush the membrane before normal use. This removes the preservative solution used during manufacture and helps ensure optimum membrane performance and lifespan.

• Fit the new RO membrane and ensure all housings and connections are secure.
• Open the shut-off valve and flush the membrane for 45–60 minutes.
• Close the shut-off valve.
• Re-open the shut-off valve approximately one quarter turn to relieve any back pressure within the system.
• The membrane is now ready for normal operation.
